Jim taught himself the drums and started playing in his high school jazz band at 15. While at the University of Texas he joined the Longhorn Band on Tuba and also played drums in the UT Jazz Band. He eventually joined the rock band Paramour in the 80s and has been in a few other groups over the years. Jim will play just about anything, even Country, but prefers good ole fashioned Rock and Roll.
